ezclipping runs entirely on the operator's own computer. It has no servers, no accounts and no analytics, and it collects no personal information from anyone.
Everything below lives on the operator's own computer. None of it is transmitted to the author of the software or to any third party.
| What | Why it exists |
|---|---|
| Access token | Authorises uploads to the connected account. Stored in a local file, refreshed automatically, never sent anywhere except back to the platform that issued it. |
| Account id | The opaque identifier the platform returns, so the software knows which account it is connected to. |
| Video files | The source recording and the clips cut from it, in a folder on the operator's disk. |
| Transcript | Speech-to-text of the source, generated locally, used to place captions and choose moments. |
| Upload record | Which clip went to which account and when — so the same clip is never posted twice. |
Only what is needed to deliver a clip, and nothing that reads anyone else's data:
user.info.basic — confirms which account the software is
connected to, so clips cannot be sent to the wrong one.video.upload — delivers a finished clip to that account's
own drafts, where a person reviews and posts it.The software does not read your followers, your messages, your analytics, or anybody else's content.
No data is sold, rented or shared. There are no advertising networks, no trackers and no analytics of any kind in this software.
When the operator connects an account, the software talks directly to that platform's own API. Their handling of that request is covered by their privacy policy, not this one.
For as long as the operator keeps the files. Nothing expires on a schedule set by us, because nothing is held by us.
Access tokens expire on the platform's own timetable and are refreshed automatically while the connection is live.
Two steps, both entirely under the operator's control:
That is the whole of it. There is no account to close and no request to submit, because no copy exists anywhere else.
This software is not intended for children. It is a production tool for people old enough to hold accounts on the platforms it connects to.
If this policy changes, the version number and effective date at the top of this page change with it.
